Adrián Berazaín arrives at the Enlace Caribe broadcast to premiere his new song on television for the first time. This singer-songwriter is part of a generation of young representatives of the new trova and of an artistic scene in Cuba where he is already known for songs such as El club de los corazones rotos and La Estación. This is the first single from his upcoming phonographic production, in charge of Bis Music, and deals with the theme of cross-dressing.
"The music video La Desilusión is inspired by the work of Fátima by Miguel Barnet. It is directed at the general public yes but with emphasis on cross-dressing and the people who practice it. My friend, actor Ray Cruz, has been staging the play in recent months and I proposed to him to make this video. The song was directed by me this time; I am a design graduate, but the experience was very rich because it was like being judge and party. It was a challenge, because you feel rewarded all the time by the team giving you their opinion and in the end it's like making switch all the time. You have to listen to everyone and try to create a story as coherent as possible. I am very grateful to all those who trusted in me," Adrián Berazaín assured.
The music video is also a tribute to those greats of trova who are Silvio and Pablo, now that 50 years of the New Trova are being commemorated.
Marcos Alonso serves once again as musical producer for Adrián, as he is the one who has accompanied him since the beginning of his career. Ray Cruz stands out here, furthermore, in his interpretation with his character of Fátima of the Fraternity. Filmed in the popular bar El Melodrama, the bohemian atmosphere worked, characteristic of this place, served to set the scene and complete the plot that was intended to be achieved.
This troubadour began his career in the trova group Carpe Diem as part of the movement of amateur artists and his last album Rock & Roll y Carretera came out in 2018.
Adrián Berazaín's new album will be under the Bis Music label once again and will feature collaborations with personalities such as Beatriz Márquez. It will also have several other guest artists and will include songs such as Friqui and Mambo para rumba, inspired by social criticism. It is expected to arrive to us in complete form in the first months of 2023. It will have the influence of new trova, rock and so-called fusion music and could perhaps become his most mature album; it will include some unusual sounds without of course abandoning that troubadour root. Meanwhile, the single "La Desilusión" is already available on all digital platforms for your enjoyment.
