Membership in the Recording Academy offers opportunities to advocate for artists' rights, support emerging talent and contribute to the organization's vital work in the music community.

This year, the Recording Academy invited more than 3,900 music professionals from diverse backgrounds, genres and disciplines.

According to a statement, the 2024 New Members Class is composed of 45% women, 57% people of African descent and 47% under 40 years old.

With the new additions, the Recording Academy aims to achieve its goal of incorporating 2,500 women as voting members for the 2025 Grammy edition.

Cuban singer and composer Eme Alfonso won the Composition Award at Ibermúsicas 2021, a program that promotes the presence and knowledge of the diversity of Ibero-American music.

Additionally, along with her brother X Alfonso and Síntesis, the group of her parents Carlos Alfonso and Ele Valdés, she won the 2022 Latin Grammy for Best Folkloric Album for her album Ancestros Sinfónico.

On the other hand, Wampi launched in 2023 his creations completely independently, with his brother, Daryel Mustelier, as his representative. His first performances were in Europe and one of his most listened to songs was "La diferencia," a song that quickly went viral on music platforms.
