The Argentine publisher Chirimbote in its "Antiheroes" collection has just published Silvio Rodríguez for Girls and Boys, a children's book written by Martín Azcurra and Nadia Fink, with illustrations by Pitu Saá.
In 28 pages the authors compile the life of the Cuban troubadour through his work. The publisher assures that Silvio Rodríguez for Girls and Boys is a book full of reflections that invites you to discover Silvio's message, who "by thinking, loving and composing managed to express his ideas in the form of songs."
The book highlights that Silvio is not a singer born from nothing, but rather a singer of his time and his land, so in his songs you feel the best intentions of a generation of a continent that dreamed of a better world, in which love would reign and not hate as it has until now.
On his Facebook the singer-songwriter himself made an exhortation to readers to read Silvio Rodríguez for Girls and Boys, according to the digital site Eco Latinoamericano.
Chirimbote defines itself as an independent publisher that promotes new perspectives and approaches to life and the world, convinced that the dominant cultural industry does not understand the concerns of a new generation of girls and boys.
The "Antiheroes" are heroes too, because they do things that last over time, because they face thousands of situations to come out successfully, but they are not only men who fought and won all the battles, as is sometimes intended that heroes be, but excellence can also be achieved from the masculine perspective by doing other things.

The "Antiheroes," assures the publisher, are heroes too, because they do things that last over time, because they face thousands of situations to come out successfully, but they are not only men who fought and won all the battles, as is sometimes intended that heroes be, but excellence can also be achieved from the masculine perspective by doing other things.
"The anti-princesses and the antiheroes come to show that there have always been free and independent women and great Latin American artists. They come to recover popular and collective culture, to rescue forgotten heroines from the wars of independence, and to propose new masculinities," they announce from their page about the proposal of necessary stories to tell and rediscover.
Silvio Rodríguez for Girls and Boys, written by Martín Azcurra and Nadia Fink with illustrations by Pitu Saá, is the fifth volume of the "Antiheroes" collection from the Argentine publisher. Previously they released children's books dedicated to Gauchito Gil, Che Guevara, Julio Cortázar, and Eduardo Galeano.
