After a week of successes in the cinematographic arena, renowned Cuban musician Edesio Alejandro announces the premiere of his new song: "Ser Padre", a piece of filial love to celebrate his day.
For this pop ballad the artist counted on the collaboration of his son Cristian Alejandro, who also sings the song with Esequiel Villa, co-author of the piece along with Oscander Rodríguez, while the mixing and mastering were in the hands of Michel Pro.
In the new single, scheduled to premiere on Spotify on Friday, June 19, the creators opted for an arrangement of voices only, piano and keyboards, handled by Edesio, also a composer and instrumentalist, to focus attention on the lyrics.
Regarding the production of the music video that will accompany this release, Alejandro stated on his social networks that it would have been beautiful to make a different audiovisual, but due to Covid-19 it was filmed in the studio, directed by Lixuán Licea and with publication scheduled for this Saturday in local media and Sunday Father's Day on Youtube.
Edesio Alejandro boasts among his most recent achievements four awards at the Florence Film Awards, in Italy and two others at the Festigious International Film Festival, United States, for the film Mambo Man, co-directed with British-Iranian Mo Fini.
Several films from the Caribbean nation bear his signature as a musical composer, among which are Clandestinos, Hello Hemingway, Madagascar, Caravana, Adorables mentiras, La vida es silbar, Suite Habana, Madrigal, Kleines Tropicana, Hacerse el sueco, Nada and Bailando Chachachá, among others.
An active member of the Hollywood Film Academy and the academies of the Latin Grammy and the Grammy, Edesio Alejandro is a cultural ambassador of the Latino Institute of Music (ILM), an institution about which he is making a documentary to celebrate its centennial in 2021.
