Cuban basketball player Jasiel Rivero, winner of the Champions League with Hereda San Pablo Burgos, answered some questions from journalists:

–How did the Burgos fans receive the team after their Champions League victory?

–It was an incredible experience, I never thought that in such a short time I would have a result like that. When we arrived in Burgos it seemed like "the world was ending," the reception from the fans was euphoric, they were very happy about the victory. In the city, the team's followers treat me with affection, it's a welcoming atmosphere, I feel like I'm in Cuba. One gets emotional with so much recognition away from home.

–What impact has COVID-19 had on San Pablo Burgos?

–In Burgos we are affected by the pandemic. Recently we played a game with almost no training, since we had infected teammates, although they should not cancel the league. In the midst of this situation, I maintain frequent contacts with the basketball commission in Cuba, and we are awaiting the tournament that the International Basketball Federation (FIBA) wants to hold in the Dominican Republic.

–In your first two seasons you average just over 20 minutes per game, is that enough time on the court to develop?

–I could have a bit more playing time, but the level of the league is high and it's played with a lot of intensity, which forces rotations due to the effort we make. I have improved my basketball, I continue working on low post moves and fundamentals, and I want to add the three-point shot to my arsenal, since I attempt it little, despite having good averages.

–Have other teams contacted you?

–I have received several offers, but in Burgos I feel very good, and I decided to stay here.
