The talented Cuban singer who is revolutionizing the world of music, Camila Cabello, has opened up to her fans through her Instagram social media, confessing that (contrary to what many might think of her) she suffers from anxiety and stage fright; however, these are aspects of her life that she manages to overcome day by day.
Through her words, the interpreter of "Havana" explains that she was not always that young woman who is dying to sing on a stage, but rather previously she was extremely terrified just thinking about presenting herself in front of her parents and closest family members.
Throughout her childhood she saw the stories of artists, and how they felt that they were born for the world of fame; but that this was not her case, rather to become what she is now she had to fight with herself and overcome that anxiety.

"I remember growing up listening to stories of the singers I loved, all the stories sounded the same, the kids who grew up performing for their families and put on talent shows for their parents when they were little and grew up to be dazzling, for me it was the opposite, I never sang in front of my parents or friends and I would get nervous when they asked me to, I sang in my room (…) the people who looked at me really overwhelmed me. In general, I was incredibly nervous and socially anxious when I was little (…)"; the singer explains.
In this line of thought, she declares that currently it is not that that Camila is not there; rather she has simply learned to handle it properly.
According to what the 22-year-old young woman states, it is as if there were two Camilas: one fearful of the unknown and who is aware of everything that could go wrong; and another who knows what she wants, and encourages the other Camila convincing her that it is possible, and that she will be able to survive and stay afloat in the circumstances.
«So... how did you end up here?» The answer is that I feel like throughout my life there have been two Camila's (…) a little bit of Camila that is terrified by the unknown, is aware of all the ways that everything can go wrong and thinks it's safer to stay home than to play ball. Then there's the other Camila. And she knows what she wants out of life, is aware of the little time I have to let little Camila run the show while time passes, and grabs my young self by the hand and forces her out the door saying «Come on. You'll survive, and I'm not going to let you miss this. Let's go". And that's literally how I can sum up how I've gotten to this point in my life"; she shares.
In another post, Camila complements her message, and invites her followers not to let themselves be limited by themselves, nor label themselves with an "it's not my thing"; because taking into account her life and experience, what is needed is not to let those thoughts dominate you, so that in this way you can make way for wonderful experiences that could not have been achieved without having overcome themselves.
"I felt I needed to share this because I think sometimes we see other people doing things and we think: 'Oh, well… that's not my thing. I've never been like that'. THAT'S NOT TRUE (…) I know what I'm telling you. I went from never wanting to sing in front of my family to being addicted to performing; from feeling too anxious about spending time with new people to… still feeling a little anxious but living the BEST MOMENTS and making irreplaceable memories. My essence is the same, but I have changed a lot as a person"; are part of the wise and sincere words that the singer shares with her followers through Instagram.
