Wilfredo Allen

Wilfredo "Willy" Allen is a Cuban-born immigration attorney based in Miami, Florida. Born in the Miramar neighborhood of Havana, he arrived in the United States on August 17, 1961, at age ten, with his mother, brother and two cousins. After early jobs shining shoes and in construction, he studied at Florida State University and in 1985 became one of the first Hispanic attorneys authorized to practice federal immigration cases in Texas. He has since built decades of legal practice in South Florida and is a regular commentator on Cuban and Cuban-American media discussing immigration issues affecting the community.
