Rose Mary Almanza Blanco is a Cuban middle-distance runner born on July 13, 1992, in Camagüey. She is one of Cuba's most decorated middle-distance athletes of the past decade, with a career that includes four consecutive Olympic appearances: London 2012, Rio de Janeiro 2016, Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024.
Her personal best in the 800 meters is 1:56.28, set in Stockholm on July 4, 2021. She has also excelled in the 4x400m relay, helping the Cuban team win the world title in that event in 2021.
Throughout her career, Almanza has won numerous medals at the Pan American Games (2011, 2015 and 2019) and at the Central American and Caribbean Championships, establishing herself as one of the region's most consistent athletes in her specialty.
