Rolando Brito Rodríguez

Theater, television and film actor. Graduated from the National School of Dramatic Art in Havana in 1983.

Rolando began studying acting in 1978 at the National School of Dramatic Art in Havana where he graduated in 1983, the same year he began his career as an actor on television.

He achieved great popularity on Cuban TV, in cinema, theater and radio. His performances in soap operas and television series such as La semilla escondida, Hermanos, De tu sueño a mi sueño, Pasión y prejuicio and Algo más que soñar, (for which he is especially remembered for his character Ignacio), have been highly praised by the public and critics.

In Cuban cinema he has worked under the direction of prestigious filmmakers such as Fernando Pérez and Manuel Pérez Paredes.

He currently resides with his family in Mexico.

Rolando Brito is married to dancer Gertrudis Pestana and together they are parents of actress Livia Brito.
