Roberto Rodríguez Labrada

Robertico

Roberto is a native of Puerto Padre in the province of Holguín, he is a graduate in microbiology, and works at the Center for Research and Rehabilitation of Hereditary Ataxia in his native province where he serves as auxiliary researcher and Principal Specialist in Neurophysiology.

He obtained the title of Doctor in Health Sciences and the Carlos Juan Finaly Order. In 2020 he was elected as Young Affiliated member of the World Academy of Sciences (The World Academy of Science, TWAS).

The specialist has developed most of his professional career at the Center for Hereditary Ataxias in Holguín, Cuba. Joining at the conclusion of his university studies in 2005 at the Research and Rehabilitation Center for Hereditary Ataxia, attached to the Lucía Iñiguez Clinical Surgical Hospital in Holguín, has enabled his growth as a scientist.

From that institution, he worked actively in various research projects related to the effects caused by hereditary ataxia.

He currently works at the Center for Neurosciences of Cuba (CNEURO).
