Ray Cruz
Raised in a family with deaf parents, Ray found his love for art through the example of his mother, who participated in a pantomime group called "Yagruma".
His mother's artistic influence was decisive in awakening the spark of art in young Ray.
However, his father, who dedicated his entire life to being an automotive mechanic, initially opposed his son pursuing a career in acting.
Despite disagreements with his father and enthusiastic about avoiding Active Military Service, Ray decided to follow his passion and ventured to study at the School of Art Instructors, where he was able to develop his knowledge in various artistic manifestations.
After completing his training, he began teaching at a secondary school, but due to his closeness with students, he requested to continue teaching art at the primary level, where he felt more comfortable.
The true turning point in Ray's life came when Tony Díaz invited him to participate in the audition for the theatrical work "Death in the Forest".
In that work, Ray played a drag performer who performed two songs, demonstrating his stage talent and opening the doors to the world of entertainment.
From that moment on, his career took an upward turn.
Ray continued his trajectory in theater alongside Tony in the Mefisto Teatro company, where he achieved the leading role in "Cabaret".
His outstanding performance in this production earned him the Caricato award, gaining recognition from both the press and critics, and catapulting him to stardom.
On television, Ray Cruz began his participation teaching telecourses on the educational channel, but his debut as an actor was in the series "Adrenaline 360", where he played Lachi, a negative character that did not go unnoticed despite the moderate reception of the series.
However, it was the character of Manuel in the telenovela "Entrega" that definitively launched him to stardom.
In this role, Ray portrayed a teacher who shares his love with a young deaf-mute woman, showing an atypical facet of the typical heartthrob and captivating the audience with his simple and professional performance.
Since then, we have been able to see Ray in various television spaces, including the telenovela "Shared Heartbeats" and the series "LCB".
Furthermore, he is part of the cast of the comedy show "Talking with the Dead", where he is currently filming the second season alongside his great friend and partner, Yaremis Pérez, with whom he shares leading role responsibilities.
In his television career, Ray Cruz also played the character of Roberto in the telenovela "So Far and So Close".
Additionally, for several years now, he has been the host of the program "Thinking in 3D", where he has managed to win over the audience with his charisma and communication skills.
Ray Cruz, an actor with humble roots but exceptional talent, has managed to win the hearts of the Cuban public with his moving performances and his artistic versatility.
In the recently premiered Cuban telenovela "The Right to Dream", Ray plays Gaspar de Santelices, a character who has a peculiar mission in the first chapters of the novel.
Gaspar in his day was a renowned actor who
ventured into theater, radio, television and film, where he excelled in the films Seven Deaths on Schedule and The Death of a Bureaucrat.

"I'm going to start a novel that has me sleepless because it's too much responsibility. It's a script by Amílcar Salatti....They accepted me to do the leading role of the novel, a History of Cuba teacher, my age, in this generation, in 12th grade, who wants to teach the subject in a different way.
