Nelson Williams Vaillant is a Cuban amateur boxer competing in the 90-kilogram division, born in the province of Camagüey. A two-time national champion, Williams is one of the most promising light heavyweight talents on Cuba's national boxing team in the current Olympic cycle.
He made his international debut at the 2023 World Amateur Boxing Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, competing in the 86-kilogram category. Since then, he has firmly established himself as Cuba's first choice at 90 kg in major international competitions. Among his most notable achievements are a gold medal at the World Boxing Cup in Cologne, Germany (92 kg), and the gold medal at the 2026 Belgrade Winners International Boxing Tournament in Serbia, where he defeated Kazakhstan's Ibrahim Betaev by split decision (3-2) in the final — his third appearance in the prestigious Serbian tournament.
