Beautiful Cuban actress from the popular police series "Tras la huella" has earned the admiration of the Cuban public who for several years have grown fond of the popular Lieutenant Mabel; whose experiences we enjoy in each episode.

Although we affectionately know her as Mumi, her parents gave her the name Miriam Alameda when she was born in a town called Tumba Cuatro, in Artemisa. Likewise, her childhood took place in this small town in the municipality of Caimito; in the midst of a very humble and absolutely rural environment.

Education
"I didn't know anyone in the art world, nor did I have any kind of preparation in this regard; in fact, I had never been to a theater". Despite this, it seems that from a young age Miriam Alameda felt attracted to television, yearning to become a prominent Cuban actress.

Furthermore, as she grew up she developed special artistic abilities, but fear and insecurities prevented her from taking the big step. "I had many doubts about whether or not to take the aptitude tests at the Instituto Superior de Arte" Miriam's mother, confident in her daughter's natural talent, decided to give her all her support; despite the difficulties. She went to ISA, asked all the questions she needed to ask", "asked for recommendations for her preparation and encouraged her to take the aptitude tests".

Professional Career
Likewise, after entering the Instituto Superior de Arte, Miriam Alameda began her training as an actress and soon arrived at Cuban television. In fact, already in the second year of her course she had managed to venture into this demanding medium.

According to what the actress said, at that time they held castings for a new telenovela and, despite her lack of experience, she decided to participate.

However, her talent is supernatural and it was impossible to let it escape; therefore, they gave her a role in the novel "Oh, La Habana". It was the first major role I did," said Cuban actress Miriam Alameda.

In this way, Miriam Alameda ceased to be an unknown talent in Cuba and soon new opportunities would come in Cuban Television.

Thus, the great opportunity of her life finally came knocking on her door when she was called to be part of the cast of the series "Tras la huella". One of the most important aspects of this Cuban woman is the fact that before being an actress, Miriam Alameda defines herself as a mother and a daughter.

Notable has been her participation in the telenovela Viceversa and in the teleseries Calendario which showed Mumi's versatility as an actress.
