El Micha
Michael Fernando Sierra Miranda (El Micha) was born in Havana in the well-known Reparto Eléctrico neighborhood of the Arroyo Naranjo municipality. He began to develop an interest in music at 8 years old while studying in primary school.
He is a great sports enthusiast from a very young age, and thus achieved his first childhood dream by being accepted to a Sports Initiation School and later to the Superior School for Athlete Development where he studied Basketball and became a high-performance athlete.
In his home, the music of Oscar de León, José Feliciano, and Orlando Contreras could be heard endlessly on an old record player they had. Micha, for his part, followed the music of Puerto Rico, and from there became a follower of Bob Marley and Michael Jackson songs.
As he finished his teenage years, El Micha began to perform his first improvisations on the streets of Havana, traveling throughout Arroyo Naranjo and making himself known that way. Thus, along with a rapper friend, he follows that Rap fury that existed in Cuba in the 90s, and begins to participate in different venues since he had great ability to improvise.
El Micha offers one of his first concerts in front of a large audience at the now-defunct nightclub "La Rumba," which was located in the Mantilla area of Havana. Subsequently, he begins to collaborate with other young musicians who were emerging, among them a star that faded tragically: Elvis Manuel. With Elvis, Micha records some songs and performs at different venues in Havana.
He also writes several songs for the boy from "La Tuba" and they perform as a duo: Dale Mambo, which had great success at La Tropical. Micha states that the song that made him known was "Gerente," which led him to popularity.
El Micha has several musical collaborations in Cuba and abroad, among which are those he has recorded with Charanga Habanera, Haila, Paulo FG, Bamboleo, Pupy y los que Son Son, and Alain Daniel. He also has several songs with Baby Lores with whom he produced several songs, and whom he joined to continue affirming that the current musical trend will remain alive: rap, hip hop, reggaeton, reggae, and rumba, alongside great exponents such as Insurrecto, Chacal, Candyman, Los 4, Gente de Zona, Yulien, and Mediterráneo.
This Cuban performer has among his favorite lyrics his songs: Quiero que se enteren, En puntilla de pie, and Si se va a formar.
The years 2010 and 2011 were important for the artist; he manages to professionally belong to the catalog of a Cuban music company as part of their excellence group, his first international tours appear, his first official music video is made under the production of the well-known Italian producer Adriano Tota Production, he signs international contracts and finally joins Daniel Pacheco of Pacheco Entertainment Production Enterprises to launch his first CD "Fuera de Liga" and his second video clip: "Quiero que se enteren."
