Elaín was born in San Antonio de los Baños, La Habana. From a young age he knew he was born to be an artist and at just 6 years old he taught himself to play guitar.
He began his career as a singer at age 7 when he joined a Latin American music group.
In his adolescence he devoted himself to dance music (timba) as part of Orquesta Sello L.A (...made up of the children of Los Papines). With Sello L.A. he recorded his first album titled "Tranquilo y Sin Lío" where he performed songs like "Tasca Tasca" (with Los Papines) and "Tranquilo y Sin Lío" the promotional theme of that production.
After 2 years with Sello L.A he joined Pachito Alonso y sus Kini Kini as lead vocalist. With Pachito he recorded the album "Traigo Te Traigo" where he performs songs like "Traigo Te traigo", a song composed by Juan Formell and the promotional theme, "El Chequendeque" and "La Guiñaíta" among some of the hits he recorded with this orchestra.
In the year 2000 Elaín participated in a concert tour in the United States with Pachito Alonso y sus Kini Kini, that same year in the city of Miami, he began a new stage in his career, now as a solo artist.
In 2005 he decided to develop his skills as a composer and began working in production for other artists.
Then in 2008 he released his first solo album titled "Elaín". This production includes 10 songs of his own composition and in collaboration with other composers. In this album you can enjoy at a rhythmic level a fusion of jazz, son montuno, bossanova and flamenco that result in an extraordinary fresh and unique sound.
In 2010, he released his second production "El Disfraz de la Luz" inspired by the search for a style that combines rhythms from around the world. For "El Disfraz de la Luz" he wrote and composed 14 original songs with the collaboration of great colleagues such as Jorge Luis Piloto, Pepe Horta, Yoel Henríquez and El Chino Dreadlion among others. Furthermore this production features the special participation of the internationally acclaimed trumpeter Arturo Sandoval on the song "Carmen", which is dedicated to Elaín's mother.
Elaín continues his development in the artistic field, standing out as one of the most relevant singer-songwriters in the Latin market and as a composer, recognized artists are already selecting his songs.
He also has the support of Latin music legend, Johnny Ventura. Currently they are writing and composing together for a production that Elaín is making for Ventura. A concept and style totally different from what "El Señor del Merengue" has accustomed us to.
Elaín is in the final production stage of his third album, "Volando Alto", from which he now presents his first single "Mi Problema" once again sharing songwriting credits with Jorge Luis Piloto and Yoel Henríquez.
