Mario Antonio Cimarro Paz

Mario Cimarro

===BODY===
He was born in Havana, Cuba, in the heart of a humble but very united family that encouraged him from the very beginning when he started considering his career as an actor, fascinated by Marlon Brando's films, his idol in the profession.

Cuban actor in film and television who became a Mexican citizen, known for starring in successful soap operas such as Gata salvaje, Pasión de gavilanes and El cuerpo del deseo. His parents are named Antonio Luis Cimarro and Maria Caridad Paz, and he has a sister named Maria Antonia.

In 1993 he moved to Mexico leaving behind his life on the island to begin studying dramatic arts. He studied acting and dramatic arts, and joined Televisa acting in telenovelas such as Gente Bien and La Usurpadora, a soap opera known internationally where Mario played the character of Luciano Alcántara, the new lover of Paola Bracho.

In 1998 he starred in the soap opera La mujer de mi vida in Miami, alongside Venezuelan actress Natalia Streignard. The two fell in love, and married in 1999, although the relationship only lasted until 2006.

A few months later, the couple moved back to Mexico, where Mario acted in the telenovela La casa en la playa. In 2000 Mario traveled to Argentina to star alongside Diego Ramos in the telenovela Amor Latino. During this time rumors began circulating about a possible separation between Mario and his wife Natalia Streignard, although the two announced they were still together.

In 2001 Mario acted in the soap opera Más que amor, frenesí in Venezuela. In 2006 he divorced his wife but three days after his divorce they were found together dancing reggaeton in a Miami nightclub.

In 2002 Mario returned to Miami to star in Gata salvaje, a telenovela that brought him international success, where he played Luis Mario Arismendi, a young millionaire who after losing his wife falls in love with a poor and rebellious girl.

A year later he joined Telemundo, and traveled to Colombia to star in another major success, Pasión de gavilanes. In this soap opera Mario was Juan Reyes, a strong and hardworking man who falls in love with the beautiful Norma Elizondo, who belongs to the family that Juan believes is responsible for the death of his sister.

In the telenovela El cuerpo del deseo he played two characters: Pedro José Donoso, a wealthy old man who after dying is reincarnated in the body of a young peasant named Salvador Cerinza.

In his last telenovela, "La Traición", a romantic soap opera, Mario again played two characters, Hugo and Alcides de Medina, 2 twin brothers who struggle for the love of Soledad de Obregón (played by Danna García).

Televisa hired him to star in their production Mar de amor from which he was fired before filming the 40 scenes that were left for him to finish the telenovela.

Furthermore, he has acted on the big screen alongside Leonardo Di Caprio in the 1996 film, "Romeo and Juliet".

But without a doubt his greatest professional success came in 2002, with his role as the most temperamental and passionate of the Reyes brothers. Thanks to this telenovela, which has been seen in 40 different countries, the actor has had to get used to the constant harassment of his fans.

Mario acknowledges that the sex symbol image he has earned is based on a lot of effort in the gym and strict diets, so although he loves the support of his fans, he considers himself a one-woman man.
