Marcia Alejandra Garbey Montell

Athlete specialist in sprint racing and long jump.

Her first appearance was at the Mexico City 1968 Olympics in the long jump event in which she failed to qualify for the final after finishing in 17th place among 27 participants.​ Her second appearance was in Munich 1972 where she managed to advance to the long jump final, finishing in 11th place among 34 participants.

Pan American Games
She participated in three editions of the Pan American Games from 1967 to 1975, where she won the gold medal in the 4 x 100 meters relay event in Winnipeg 1967 alongside Violetta Quesada, Cristina Echeverría and Miguelina Cobián.

Central American and Caribbean Games
She participated in the editions of the Central American and Caribbean Games in 1970 and 1974, winning the gold medal in long jump on both occasions.
