María Cristina de Castro Palomino

Cristina Palomino

She is a prominent actress in neighborhood and municipal presentations and in community work.

She studied at the National School of Art, graduating with a specialty in Performing Arts. She has interpreted countless leading roles in different theatrical works such as "La Verdad de las Cosas"; the musical "La Titimanía"; "Andoba"; "Los inventos de un Escaparate"; "Pervertimento"; Theatrical Spectacle "Romance a Federico" in the character of Martirio from "La Casa de Bernarda Alba"; Theatrical Spectacle "Carne con Papas" performing the monologue "Cosas de una vedette"; "Juegos Sucios en el Sótano"; "Receta de Amor".

She wrote at the suggestion of the Municipal Culture Department of Centro Habana, within the framework of the Tribute to Joseíto Fernández, the radio spectacle "La Guantanamera" which later became "La Guantanamera de Hoy" a musical comedy spectacle that was presented at the AMÉRICA Theater throughout the month of November. This work was also presented in the Community Project "Concha Mocoyú" located in the Solar de la California in Centro Habana.

In 2005 she began working as a theater instructor, teaching acting workshops at the Joseíto Fernández Culture House, presenting an artistic spectacle at the end of the course at the Antonio Maceo Theater in the Cerro Municipality. This spectacle was also presented at the Joseíto Fernández Culture House as part of Culture Week.

She has carried out many community projects, and among her community cultural projects, we can highlight "LUZ DEL TORREON" in coordination with the Municipal Culture Department of Centro Habana and UNEAC.

For more than two years she organized the Cultural Poetry and Trova Gathering every Friday at the CASA DE LA TROVA in Centro Habana.

She has written, organized and directed different Municipal Galas in coordination with the government and the Party of the Centro Habana Municipality.
