María Luisa Acosta Hernández

Journalist, typographer, proofreader, and editor.

More than 25 years in the book industry. She has edited around 50 titles in science and technology topics, for which she has produced additional texts, research, bibliographic cross-references, and compilations.

She was the editor of part of Nitza Villapol's culinary work published in Cuba, as well as scientific and technical texts by recognized personalities such as Orfilio Peláez, Carlos Millares Cao, Alcides Sagarra, Rolando Crespo, Severo Nieto Fernández.

She was part of the jury for the Pinos Nuevos 2000 collection in scientific-popular dissemination texts.

She has participated in different activities related to text editing: lecture series for editorial sector specialists, upgrading and training courses for editors, postgraduate programs in graphic design, Ibero-American book workshop, editorial debates on scientific-technical publications, computing, English, marketing, and social communication courses, international book meeting in the Caribbean environment (as a speaker), editorial production diploma, among others.
