María del Rosario Antuña Gutiérrez

Cuban writer. She belongs to the Association of Writers, UNEAC. In 1954 she received the Rubén Martínez Villena literary prize from the University Student Federation.

She was born in Güines, province of Mayabeque. She graduated in Philosophy and Letters from the University of La Habana in 1955. From 1956 to 1957 she traveled through England, France, Spain, Greece and Italy.

In 1960 she completed her university studies in library science. She worked from 1959 to 1963 in the General Department of Culture of the Ministry of Education and in the National Council of Culture.

She collaborated in Caballo de Fuego, Nuestro Tiempo, Artes Plásticas and Unión. She worked in the José Martí National Library.

She carried out the selection and annotation of the Órbita of Emilio Ballagas (La Habana, Eds. Unión, 1966). In recent years she has worked as a cataloguer and classifier in the José Martí National Library and in the Systems and Control Department of the Documentation Center of the National Council of Culture.
