Also on Cuban Television, for the past 27 years he has hosted his best-known program "Worth It" which enjoys wide popularity and acceptance. A communicator par excellence, Professor Calviño is a well-known lecturer who makes Psychology a powerful instrument for human improvement.

He was born in the Cayo Hueso neighborhood, continues to live in Cayo Hueso, although he now lives in El Vedado, but his lifestyle was marked by Cayo Hueso, the concept of the neighborhood, of the people, of arriving at 3 in the morning, of open doors, and everyone there. His childhood took place in Cayo Hueso, a childhood full of games, of disagreements with his parents. His father was always a man with very advanced thinking, he was a doctor, a cardiologist. His mother, as was customary at the time, was very dedicated to exalting the father and his children.

He was a terrible pre-university student. He did not attend classes, did not study, showed no interest. It was the time when music occupied the first place in his interests. He repeated the last year of pre-university and took extraordinary exams.

Already at university studying Psychology, he was part of Moncada which was born in '72. Alberto Faya and a physics student, Mario Ayoub and I, sang…, like we all started, singing the songs of Silvio, of Pablo, we acted as troubadours. And then, at some point University Television appeared, and a program appeared, among the many that appeared on University TV, called Always on Sunday, which was directed by Jorge Gómez.
