He is head of the cultural section of the Provincial Newspaper 5 de Septiembre, and also serves as an adjunct professor in the Social Communication program at the University of Cienfuegos.

His works have been published in the magazines La Jiribilla, En línea, Ariel and Conceptos; in the newspapers Granma, Juventud Rebelde, Montañés (Cienfuegos), Periódico 26 (Las Tunas), El Cometa (República Dominicana) and in the Literary Bulletin "Mercedes Matamoros".

Awards and Honors:
He received the Carlos Rafael Rodríguez Prize (2002 and 2004, in Opinion Journalism), and mentions in the International "Lazarillo" Contest (1996, in poetry for children), convened by the Ministries of Education and Culture of Spain, together with the Spanish chapter of the IBBY.
