He has stood out in the sport of diving, obtaining gold and silver medals at the Second ALBA Sports Games.

He currently lives in San Diego de los Baños, Pinar del Río but was born in Ciudad de La Habana.

At the age of 7 he began to practice sports, at the local Sports Complex in the specialty of Artistic Gymnastics.

He participates in Provincial and Municipal competitions obtaining good results, the coaches who were in charge of the event came to the conclusion that he had more aptitude for Diving.

He is very fond of music of all genres, especially salsa. Sharing experiences with friends from his town is very important to him, as he states that he feels happy talking with the people who saw him born and develop in this sport.

His goal is to achieve a place among the best in his sport, as well as to achieve success, for which he has committed himself to staying in shape and continuing to work.

In 1990 he was recruited for the School of Sports Initiation (EIDE) Osmaní Arenado of Pinar del Río Province. He begins his career as a Diver with trainer Vidal Artidiello.

In 1993 he participates in the National School Games. In September 1994 he is recruited for the National ESPA Giraldo Córdova Cardín. In April 1995 he participates in the National Youth Championship obtaining good results in the National School Games. In 1997 he participates in the CCCAN competition (Central American and Caribbean Amateur Swimming Championship).

He participates in the Cuba Cup 1998. In September 1999 he joins the National Team. In 2002 he participates in the first Cuban Sports Olympiad. In 2003 he participates in the CAMO in Canada, obtaining 9th place in the 3-meter springboard. In 2004 he participates again in the II Cuban Sports Olympiad. In 2005 he participates in the Grand Prix of Italy obtaining 5th place in the 10-meter platform.

In 2006 he is part of the Delegation that participates in the Central American and Caribbean Games of Cartagena de Indias, Colombia obtaining satisfactory results. In 2007 he is part of the Delegation of the Second ALBA Sports Games. That same year he participates in the Grand Prix of Rome obtaining 5th place in the 3-meter springboard, qualifying for the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro. In 2008 after extensive work he qualifies in the past World Cup held in Beijing. In 2009 he participates in the III ALBA Sports Games and in the World Aquatic Sports Championship in Rome where he places 13th two points away from the final, being a great year for him. Year 2010 first champion of the diving tournament of the V Cuban Sports Olympiad.
