Jorge Antonio González

Playwright, historian and theater critic, author of the books Cuban Operas and Their Authors (1943), History of Theater in La Habana (1961), Operistic Composition in Cuba (1986) and Chronology of Havana Theater (2003), published shortly before his death that same year.

He collaborated in several specialized magazines: Prometeo, Music Magazine of the José Martí National Library, Tablas, Clave, Revolution and Culture, among others.

For theater he wrote the titles: The Sand is Between the Sea and the Rocks (1948); Rehearsing (1949); Studio A (1950).

Jorge Antonio González died in his native city on July 3, 2003.
