Paco Prats
Died: September 2, 2020
Cuban film producer. National Film Award 2020.
Graduate in drawing and painting from the Academy of San Alejandro. In 1963 he began working at the Cuban Institute of Cinematographic Art and Industry (ICAIC) as a quality reviewer in Animated Drawings.
Since 1964 he held the position of Producer. He was production coordinator and director of the ICAIC's Animated Drawings Department. He was also Director of Post-production. He worked as a Producer in the ICAIC Animation Studios until his death.
He has offered courses and lectures in Cuba and abroad to students specializing in Animation. He has to his credit the production of more than one hundred animated drawings. He has served as a Jury member in different film festivals, both national and international.
