Recognized actor and theatrical director from the province of Matanzas, founder of the Theater Group El Mirón Cubano.
Licensed in Performing Arts in 1981, specialty in acting at the Superior Institute of Art. He is the only member of the first generation of ISA graduates who continues working in the collective. Member of the Artistic Council of the group El Mirón Cubano from 1981 to 2008. In 1989 he became a member of UNEAC. He has conducted numerous workshops and postgraduate courses on dramaturgy, body expression, singing, acrobatics with teachers such as Santiago García, Alan Bo, Alexander Guelman, Miguel Rubio, Juan Carlos Moyano, among others. He has received specialization in the United States in the art of clown.
He has participated in the most important events of Cuban theater and in festivals and workshops in Spain, Venezuela, Mexico, the United States, Germany and Colombia. He performed in the Spanish company María Josefa Gollanes on its tour of our country with the work Los Esperpentos, by Valle Inclán, 1979. He collaborated with the humorous group La Seña del Humor in different performances such as Jaguar you Claudio, and also produced television programs and national tours with this ensemble. Similarly, he has ventured into the television field with Tele-Teatro La jaula del gorrión, and Ediht, under the direction of María Hauman. He has served as a judge for various theatrical events and has participated in different political-cultural performances. Directed Works
He has directed different works in the movement of amateur artists, including Érase una vez un rey, by Chilean Aleph, with the group of ISAICC Camilo Cienfuegos, awarded with the 1st Prize at the FEU Festival at the provincial level and 2nd at the national level. Since 2005 he is the artistic and general director of El Mirón Cubano where he has directed, among other works, El Gato Currutaco and Balada del Marino. He is the President of the National Street Theater Day that is held biannually in Matanzas sponsored by the Theater Group El Mirón Cubano.
