Esteban Morales is a full member of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba. Economist and Political Scientist, Doctor in Economic Sciences, and Researcher at the University of Havana. Professor of Political Economy at the Faculty of Economics. Bachelor's degree in Economics.
He is a native of Cárdenas.
Publications
His most important publications are in Political Economy, International Relations and Cuba - United States Relations.
He has published more than thirty articles in national and foreign journals. He is co-author and principal author of books in Cuba, United States and Japan. He is principal author and co-author of books on Political Economy and International Relations for University Teaching.
His research works and publications have been awarded by the University of Havana, the Academy of Sciences of Cuba, the journal Economía y Desarrollo and he has also received international awards.
Contributions
He has been on several occasions "Best Researcher" at the University of Havana, National Vanguard of the Science Union and Provincial Vanguard. He received the Special Distinction from the Minister of Higher Education.
He has been a speaker and delegation president at various National and International Scientific Events on Economics, Cuba - United States Relations and International Relations, in Cuba, United States, Europe, Latin America and Japan.
Founder and Director of the Center for Studies on the United States of the University of Havana, which he directed between 1980 and 1999.
Advisor to the University Rectory for academic exchange and president of several delegations to United States, Canada, Europe and Latin America. He has developed advisory services to national organizations and foreign academic institutions.
He has been a tutor of several master's and doctoral theses. He has lectured and appeared in mass media on topics of Political Economy, International Relations and Cuba - United States Relations.
He has taught master's courses in International Relations and lectures on Cuba at North American, European and Latin American universities. He regularly gives lectures to State organisms and academic institutions throughout the country.
He has held various academic positions at the University of Havana, mainly as Director of the Department of Political Economy of the Faculty of Economics, Director of the School of Political Sciences and Dean of the Faculty of Humanities.
Currently he is Research Professor at CESEU and full member of the Academy of Sciences of Cuba.
