Diana Lío

Cuban journalist, editor and pedagogue. She was director of Casa Editora Abril. She received the Félix Elmusa Distinction in 2018.

Dania was a native of Punta Brava. She graduated as a journalist from the University of La Habana. She studied a Master's degree in Curricular Design at the Enrique José Varona Higher Pedagogical Institute.

She was director of the magazine Pionero and subdirector of Casa Editora Abril from 2003 to 2007. She worked as National Methodologist in the Ministry of Education of Cuba. During the last three years of her life she served as director of Editora Abril, a place to which she dedicated much of her life.

Diana was a professional, affable, natural, direct person. Beloved, admired and respected by colleagues and subordinates.

She died in La Habana at the age of 48 from cancer.
