Beatriz González Viñas

Graduated in the specialty of acting from the Instituto Superior de Arte de Cuba (ISA). Student of Corina Mestre and made her television debut as Leonor in Santa Camila de la Habana Vieja.

She grew up among the décimas of her mother and the countryside humor of her native Güira de Melena and from an early age was connected to the Casa de la Cultura of her town. Although in a first attempt she could not gain admission to the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA), she did not give up and enrolled in the Escuela Nacional de Instructores de Teatro, an experience that allowed her to achieve her goal.

Beatriz has worked in film, radio, television, and theater.

La cuarta Lucía is one of the projects that actress Beatriz Viñas most cherishes and appreciates, perhaps because of that from the very beginning, she establishes communication with the audience and launches into demonstrating how much passion and boldness her profession entails, and its challenges to secure a role, no matter how small.

With the maturity of her journey through different media in the last decade, Viñas returns to her character of Ingrid and infuses her with other emotions, her energy unfolds across the entire stage, and she goes from the Santiaguera to Luz Marina, with the ease and nonchalance that come from words incorporated as her own, and the pleasure of enjoying their effect on the auditorium.

At the first of the performances, even an impertinent cockroach on stage tried to distract her. What would not be the surprise at her exit so elegant? As if it had been planned. She eliminated it the way we Cubans do, with a good whack of the shoe, and with it she said: Because I like to work with a clean stage. Marking the words with great force. The audience surprised her with strong applause.
