Arturo Silot Torres is a Cuban freestyle wrestler born on March 13, 2001, in Santiago de Cuba. He competes in the 97-kilogram category and has excelled in the top Pan American and international circuits since a young age.
He began his sporting career in judo — a discipline practiced by his entire family — before transitioning to freestyle wrestling. He studies for a degree in Physical Culture and Sports at the Universidad de las Ciencias de la Cultura Física y el Deporte Manuel Fajardo in Havana.
His major achievements include a silver medal at the 2022 Senior Pan American Wrestling Championship, gold at the 2021 Junior Pan American Games, and victory at the 2024 Spain Grand Prix in the 97 kg category. In May 2026, he was crowned Pan American Senior Champion in Coralville, Iowa, defeating American Stephen L. Buchanan II in the final by a score of 15-4 (VSU1) in just 3 minutes and 24 seconds of action.
