Arianne Lafita Gonzávez

Arianne Lafita Gonzalvez, an excellent dancer from Cárdenas who has brought great honor to Cuba and her native city. Arianne is a professional first dancer. Lecturer at the National School of Art, member of the International Dance Council. CID UNESCO, Athens, Greece.

She was born in Cárdenas, Matanzas. As a child, she practiced artistic gymnastics and during a competition, a dance teacher approached her mother and invited her to take an entrance exam to the dance school in Matanzas.

She began studying dance at age nine at the "Alfonso Pérez Isaac" dance school in Matanzas, where she spent five years. She entered the National Ballet School of Havana, where she graduated with the title of dancer and teacher. She had teachers such as Yolanda Domínguez, Fernando Alonso, Ramona de Saa, Martha Iris Fernández, Ana Julia Bermúdez, Adria Vélezquez and Loipa Araùjo.
Arianne began her career in the National Ballet of Cuba, under the direction of Alicia Alonso between the years 2003 and 2004. In 2005, she joins the company as a principal dancer "Ballet de Cuba" by Laura Alonso. In 2009 she moved to Spain, where she joined "Víctor Ullate Comunidad de Madrid" ballet.

Arianne is married to Italian ballet dancer Vittorio Galloro, who studied ballet at the National Ballet School of Cuba.

Repertoire
With the National Ballet of Cuba she danced: The Carnival of Venice. After the Flood, Danzon Hour. Swan Lake, Cinderella, Shakespeare and His Masks. Paquita.

With Laura Alonso's Ballet de Cuba she dances as principal ballet dancer in complete ballets: Swan Lake (Odette - Odile) Pas de Trois Swan Lake Act 1, Don Quixote (Kitri), Dracula (Isabel), The Sylphs, Paquita, Medora in Le Corsaire, Le Chevalier de Saint George, Yarini (the veiled lady) in La noche de Avalon.

In Arianne's repertoire are also the pas de deux of: Red Bhakti the Maurice Bellart. The Nutcracker, Presence, Carnival of Venice, Coppelia, Momentum, Red Rose, Tchaikovsky pas de deux, Rita variation, Flames of Paris, Harlequinade, Giselle (pas de deux Act 2), The Merchant and Slave (pas de deux from Le Corsaire Act 1) Sleeping Beauty, Le fille mal gardée

Ballet dancing with Víctor Ullate Comunidad de Madrid in Spain: 2 vi maestro, Samsara, Beethoven, Wonderland, The Art of Dance, Jaleos. Arianne was invited to several dance galas around the world. In March 2011 she participated in the Grazie Rudy gala night in homage to Nureyev in Milan. In July in Barcelona, the Barcelona Dance Gala 2011. In the same month she was invited to Spoleto Festival 2011 Gala Dance at Alberto Testa's The Value of Life, in August she received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Loano Festival 2011, in September she was invited to the XVI International Ballet Festival of Miami, in December 2011 she was invited to the Balletto gala città di Salerno at the Verdi theatre.

In January 2012 she danced in the gala ball in the city of Turin. In March 2012, she was invited to the closing gala competition of the Città di Spoleto 2012 ballet gala, in April she was invited as principal ballet dancer in Tenerife, in Tchaikovsky passion, in the NUTCRACKER pas de deux and Sleeping Beauty Act 3. In June 2012, she was invited to the Rome Opera to dance Kitri in the Don Quixote suite. In June 2013 she was invited to dance at the tenth anniversary of the ARDT FOUNDATION GALA BENEFIT DANCE in the Netherlands, Amsterdam. In July 2013 she was invited to dance in the closing gala of the 2013 International Ballet Competition in Bucharest, also in July 2013 she was invited to dance in INTERNATIONAL BALLET GALA 2013 VALENCIA, ESPAÑA. Arianne received in August 2013, from Carla Fracci, recognition for her career at the CAPRI AWARD INTERNATIONAL 2013.

In September 2013 Arianne received the artistic award of the city of Montecatini, during the Montecatini 2013 PASSI DI TALENT festival. In October 2013 she was invited to the prestigious Slovenian dance GAUDEAMUS GALA 2013 at the Maribor Opera. In November 2013, she was invited to Russia for the First Russian Ballet Festival at the Opera Theatre in Saratov, performing Kitri in Don Quixote, a complete opera.

She participated in the International Ballet Gala ASTRI NASCENTI at the Teatro Regio di Parma. In December 2013 she dances as guest of honor at the SALIERI DANCE FESTIVAL 2013, LEGNAGO VERONA.

In January 2014 she was invited to Milan for the international ballet gala STARS OF BALLET alongside many world-renowned dancers from around the world. In March 2014 she was invited to dance in Russia at the prestigious ballet gala BALLET STAR IN PERM 2014 Russia. In May 2014 she was invited to dance at the Prague Opera Theatre in the Miroslv Kura Ballet Gala and in July, she returns to Prague and dances at the prestigious gala PRAGA BALLET GALA ALO DIAMAND 2014. In June 2014 she was invited to dance at the SEGOVIA DANCE FESTIVAL 2014 ESPAÑA, with dancers from the National Ballet of Cuba. In July, she was invited to dance at the JESOLO DANCE FESTIVAL 2014, dancing a tango Oblivion in pas de deux, with music by Astor Piazzola. From July 22 to 23, 2014, she was invited to a ballet gala "IL GRANDE PAS DE DEUX" with the principal dancers of La Scala in Milan and the Rome Opera.

In 2017, she was invited as principal dancer in the world premiere at the National Ballet of Uruguay, directed by JULIO BOCCA, to perform Aurora in Sleeping Beauty, with choreography by M. Galizzi, set designer Juice Milan and costumes designed by the famous fashion designer, AGATA RUIZ DE LA PRADA.

In July 2018, she danced at the World Dance Festival SIBIU 18, a world event in Romania, where she performed in the main square of the city with 5,000 spectators. In August 2018, she received the award for artistic merit at the prestigious CAPRI INTERNATIONAL AWARD 2018, presented by journalist Marianella Guatterini and by the godfather of the event, Russian dance icon VLADIMIR VASSILIEV.

Currently, Arianne is the principal guest dancer at the HONG KONG BALLET and at many European theaters and state opera houses: such as Opera Rome, Bucharest Opera, Perm Opera, Sofia Opera, Macedonia Opera, Maribor Opera, Ljubljana Opera, National Opera Theatre of Saratov, Russia.
