More than 50 years of experience in radio and television broadcasting make up the record of this Cuban broadcasting professional.
When she was barely two years old, her family moved to Havana due to her father's job: the unforgettable broadcaster Antonio Pera, and here she graduated from a training course at the then Cuban Institute of Broadcasting.
Known for excellence in diction, she took her first steps in television, where for many years she left her mark on the remembered Revista de la Mañana, but it was from the booth at Radio Reloj where Argelia Pera solidified her worth in the world of broadcasting, becoming one of the distinctive voices of her stellar program El Matutino.
Also an Artist of Merit of Cuban Radio and Television, she has been awarded the Distinction for National Culture, the Félix Elmuza medal, awarded by the Union of Cuban Journalists, and the Microphone of Cuban Radio. She has an extensive body of work as a mentor to radio broadcasters who pursue the path of broadcasting in our country.
Argelia Pera, who is now distinguished with the National Radio Prize 2025, has dedicated herself with talent and humility to the station of the hour and the news, where she is currently a member of its artistic board and represents a reference point in Cuban broadcasting.
The National Radio Prize 2025 will be presented to the beloved broadcaster Argelia Pera during the activities commemorating the 103rd Anniversary of the first continuous radio transmissions in Cuba.
