Revolutionary fighter from Ariguanabo, leader of the Union of Peasants of San Antonio de los Baños, Artemisa.
He was born in the "Las Monjas" neighborhood of San Antonio de los Baños. He came from a peasant family. Founder and leader of the Union of Peasants of San Antonio de los Baños, of the Peasant Federation of Havana since 1939, and later of the National Federation.
In 1942 he joined the Communist Revolutionary Union Party. He was a fighter in the clandestine struggle against the Batista tyranny; at the end of 1958 he participates in the Escambray; under the direction of Commander Ernesto Che Guevara in the mobilization of the peasants of the region as an active member of the Rebel Army.
With the triumph of the Revolution, he was president of the Peasant Federation of the then province of Havana and Secretary of Organization of the National Association of Small Farmers (ANAP) in the National Leadership, being one of the most outstanding peasant leaders of the country.
He died on December 1, 1972 at the age of 53 and was buried in the Municipal cemetery of San Antonio de los Baños, his native city.
ANAP instituted the order for the most outstanding peasants "Antero Regalado", as a fair tribute to his life and revolutionary work. Currently a Base association (04-10) of the Association of Combatants of the Cuban Revolution (ACRC) bears his name.
