Andy Santiago Granda Álvarez

Andy Santiago Granda Álvarez is a Cuban judoka who competes in the super heavyweight (+100 kg) division. Born in Matanzas on February 4, 1992, he won gold at the 2022 World Judo Championship in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, and has been Pan American Games champion twice, in Lima 2019 and Santiago de Chile 2023, where he also won the mixed team title. He previously won the +100 kg gold at the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador and has represented Cuba at the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games, finishing fifth in the latter.
