The renowned Cuban television actor Bárbaro Marín, known for his characters in the police series Día y Noche, said he feels happy to resume his career in Cuba after ten long years of absence.

"I really like that the public has that affection for me and respects the work I do. I'm fortunate," Marín confessed in an interview with Paula Massola for the Youtube show 'Te lo dice Pau'.

Founder of Tras la huella along with Jorge Alí, Alberto Pujol and Blanca Rosa Blanco, the actor said he felt typecast in a police role that later made it difficult for him to interpret other characters on the small screen, due to a policy of the Institute of Radio and Television with the Ministry of the Interior.

Marín, who transcended to the international stage with his brief role in the famous series El capo, left Cuba nearly a decade ago and the last project he participated in at that time was Patrulla 444, another police drama.

In Colombia, he says, things went very well for him professionally, with very good job opportunities. He did more than twenty series and novels, and also worked in four films.
