Augusto Blanca presents Postergadas in Havana, winner of a Special Cubadisco 2026 award

Cuban singer-songwriter Augusto Blanca presented his album Postergadas on Friday, October 10, 2026, at the Bis Music label headquarters in Havana, according to the Cuban News Agency (ACN) and Radio Enciclopedia. The release gathers songs that had not appeared on any of his earlier albums and received a Special Cubadisco 2026 award.

Bis Music director Neris González Bello said the recording recovers part of the catalog of one of Cuban song’s essential authors. Critic Joaquín Borges Triana argued that bringing those pieces together now adds a new reading of Blanca’s career. The troubadour said he started from a demo to sequence the tracks and find their shared thread.

Actor Carlos Padrón, who wrote the liner notes, and musician-producer Dayron Ortega also spoke at the event. Blanca, known for standards such as “No olvides que una vez tú fuiste sol” and “El tercer deseo,” remains a central figure in Cuban trova and singer-songwriter music.
