Another week began in Major League Baseball (MLB) and the Cubans playing in that tournament continue to provide entertainment to their followers. On Monday's game day, although there were not many representatives, good news came from the mound and the batter's box.

The Tampa Bay Rays defeated the Chicago White Sox 5-2, in a duel held at "Guaranteed Rate Field", home of the White Sox. Although the visitors dominated throughout the game, Randy Arozarena placed the classic "finishing touch" on the scoreboard, with the ball disappearing in the eighth inning, to reach nine home runs in the contest.

Arozarena, little by little, has shown some flashes of the ray of light that illuminated the Big Top in October 2020. Tonight the native of Pinar del Río again broke a personal record of his, as he accumulated nine games batting safely, while in the last two he displays a home run.

His longest streak of consecutive hits was at the beginning of this season, when he reached eight contests and launched a strong candidacy for Rookie of the Year. On the other hand, the Tampa outfielder in the last six games has stepped on home plate at least once.

In the encounter against the White Sox he got two hits in four at-bats, both extra-base hits. In addition, he scored the first run of his team and extended the scoreboard to two runs. The hit was key in his franchise's aspirations. Therefore, he displays the following numbers .264/.344/.430.

Jorge Soler was having one of his best days of the contest. The Havanan got three hits in four visits to the plate, and it was the third time he achieved that mark this year. In addition, he reached 13 doubles in the year and 301 runs batted in. With the excellent day his numbers improved significantly, so much that: .189/.281/.343

At a very high level was also José "Candelita" Iglesias. The Cuban native went four for five at the plate. In that way he broke his barrier of three hits this year. Taking advantage of the heat of his bat, the Cuban shortstop raised his offensive line to .280/.311/.400.

In a thrilling clash, the Boston Red Sox left the field 2-1 over the Toronto Blue Jays, with a golden single by Rafael Devers. Meanwhile, Lourdes Gurriel Jr. did not have the same luck as his previous teammates and failed three at-bats, so his defensive line dropped to .263/.284/.396.
