Cuban-born actress Ana de Armas has confirmed a new relationship with Beto Montenegro, lead singer of the Grammy-winning Venezuelan band Rawayana, after the couple was photographed together on the Spanish island of Formentera earlier this month. Spanish outlet ¡Hola! published images showing the pair on a getaway, adding to a series of public appearances together in recent weeks.

The couple had first drawn attention in mid-July when they were seen together in an affectionate moment, and their relationship was further confirmed after they were photographed sharing a kiss. Montenegro, who fronts Rawayana alongside bandmates behind hits blending reggae, funk and Latin rhythms, has led the group to three Latin Grammy Awards and wide recognition across Latin America in recent years.

De Armas, who trained at Cuba's National Theater School before launching her career in Spain and later Hollywood, has built one of the most prominent international profiles of any Cuban-born actress, with roles in films including "Knives Out," "Blonde" and "Ballerina." She has kept most details of her personal life private since her previous public relationship ended.

Neither de Armas nor Montenegro has issued a formal statement about the relationship, but the recent public appearances mark one of the actress's more visible romances in recent years.
