Singer-songwriter Amaury Pérez Vidal decided to "indefinitely postpone" the presentation of his three latest albums due to the crisis facing Cuba, as the artist acknowledged on his social media.
"On Thursday the 26th we were planning to present in physical format the 3 latest albums I have recorded at El Museo de la Música, but yesterday in a meeting with everyone involved in organizing the event (in the middle of a desperate blackout) we decided to indefinitely postpone the presentation," Pérez Vidal began by saying.
The explanation the artist gave was that it "seemed to us at the very least imprudent, in the midst of the difficult situation the nation is going through, to celebrate something as insignificant as the launch of some recordings."
As is well known, the island is facing a worsening of the economic and social situation, evidenced among other things by the lack of electricity, food shortages and other essential resources.

Prolonged blackouts are becoming increasingly frequent in all provinces of the country, negatively affecting the lives of Cubans and the functioning of state institutions.
The artist lastly assured that "we will try when the country's situation improves. It is a matter of civic duty and common sense."
The artist's empathy has generated many comments, most of them in support of the singer for his empathy and solidarity with Cubans. Others have celebrated that, at least, he publicly acknowledges the crisis the country is going through and the impact it has on almost everyone equally.
