Cuban actor Rodrigo Gil won this Saturday the Adolfo Llauradó acting award for emerging artists for his character Raidel in the television series Los Hijos de Pandora.
"To the great delight of our industry, the male acting award in television was presented this time to two actors: Rodrigo Gil for his character Raidel in the current television series Los Hijos de Pandora, and Ariel Zamora for Alexei, the character he played in Tan Lejos y tan Cerca", reported the Cuban Television Portal.
"Both actors demonstrated through their performances the histrionic skill and the authentic voice of the generation of performing artists to which they belong. Each of the characters they brought to life speaks of the rebellion and irreverence of a youth in constant dialogue with their reality", noted the aforementioned source.
For her part, Clarita García won the female acting award for her unforgettable and overwhelming participation as teacher Amalia in the youth series Calendario. "This award comes to the actress's career at a moment of artistic maturity, where her knowledge from the academy, the stage and the cameras are beginning to provide her with well-deserved professional opportunities".
"Ingrid Lobaina, one of the young Cuban actresses who did not stop surprising us in 2022 with her diverse performances on television", received a mention in female acting for her character Noemí in Calendario. According to the aforementioned source, "a complex, contradictory character full of nuances yet to be explored, which will surely take on new light in the second season, coming soon".
"All these awards and mentions in the television acting section speak to the health of this specialty in our industry; to the commitment and dedication of the youngest performers; those with a long and narrow path ahead that they will pave with experience and new acting challenges", noted the official source.
The Adolfo Llauradó acting awards for emerging artists were presented on Saturday afternoon in the May hall of the Pabellón Cuba. The jury was made up of film critic Luciano Castillo, theater critic and researcher Vivian Martínez Tavares, journalist and television critic Paquita de Armas Fonseca, professor at the Instituto Superior de Arte Yaima Gibert and playwright and also ISA professor Roberto Viña, reported the Cuban Television Portal.
