Cuban actor Adrián Di Monte became the winner of the first season of La Isla: Desafío Extremo, the Telemundo reality show that ended with an exciting final in Turkey last Monday, October 14.

The 34-year-old artist, originally from Santa Clara, Cuba, represented the Sharks team and defeated Colombian Hubert "Wakanda" Riascos, from the Panthers team, in a final duel that left all participants on edge. With this finale, the Cuban took home the prize of 200 thousand dollars.

Third place in the competition was taken by actor Leopoldo "Guty" Carrera, while fourth place went to Natalia Alcocer, both Di Monte's teammates on the Sharks.

During the final week of the reality show, contestants received a surprise visit from their family members and former teammates, who accompanied them during the decisive moments of the competition, which took place in various locations in Turkey.

Some local media recalled that Adrián Di Monte had already demonstrated his talent in other reality shows. In this regard, it was noted that in 2017 he won the fourth season of "Bailando por un sueño" in Mexico, alongside his partner Montserrat Yescas.

Beyond his success in this type of program, the young man has acted in renowned telenovelas such as Diseñando tu amor, El maleficio, and Señora Acero: La Coyote and is also a host.

Known for his success in the 4 Elementos challenge, the Cuban has captivated audiences.

Di Monte, who currently resides in Mexico, was born on July 31, 1990. At age 15 he left Cuba and moved to the United States with his family.

Passionate about art since childhood, especially painting, he decided at some point to pursue architecture, a career he completed but never practiced, because acting crossed his path by chance.

He began working for the networks Univisión and Venevisión with various brief appearances in telenovelas such as Eva Luna, Mi corazón insiste en Lola Volcán, and Aurora, among others.

In 2015 he continued his career with the Spanish-language network Telemundo and in 2017 he moved to Mexico hired by the television station Televisa; that same year he signed an exclusivity contract with that Mexican network.
