Leannelys Zayas Pérez is a Cuban softball player born in Yara, Granma province. A gifted shortstop, she developed her athletic career through the Cuban sports system, representing Granma province and later the Cuban national team.
She competed at the XXIII Central American and Caribbean Games in Barranquilla 2018, where Cuba won the silver medal in women's softball. Her consistent defensive and offensive performance established her as one of Cuba's premier shortstops.
In 2024 she joined the Mexican Women's Professional Softball League with the Diablos Rojos, where she became a historic figure: the first player to reach 100 hits in league history and the all-time leader in RBIs. In April 2026 she signed with Quick Mill Bollate, the reigning champions of Italy's women's Serie A1 softball league.
