Yuliet Cruz and Beatriz Valdés in theater with a comedy by Alexis Valdés

The outstanding Cuban actresses Yuliet Cruz and Beatriz Valdés will star in a theatrical production in Miami.

The news is a great joy for the public, who admire the talent of these two greats of Cuban cinema, theater, and television.

It is a comedy directed by humorist Alexis Valdés and, although they are still rehearsing the scripts, it has already generated great expectation.

"Starting to read with these two brilliant actresses (among the best Cuba has produced) a very charming Comedy... I already know it's going to be a prize. Beatriz Valdés and Yuliet Cruz, imagine what a pair of Stars!!! it's going to be an enormous pleasure to direct them", Valdés commented on his social media.

In February of this year both actresses spent an afternoon together in Miami and wanted to share with their followers the admiration they feel for one another.

"There are afternoons and AFTERNOONS...And this one has allowed me the encounter with the person I imagined she was and the celebration of the person she IS. I have admired this actress from afar in every character she has played in Cuban cinema...and today, after glimpsing her story told by herself, I imagine what her time in Cuban theater must have been like with iconic characters and in Cuban TV that I could never see because I was far away", wrote the protagonist of the classic La bella del Alhambra.

"Today I shared coffee, dreams and her son, Sebastián, who came to enhance the afternoon with his unique tenderness, intelligence and sensitivity... Thank you for SO MUCH Yuliet Cruz Delgado, and for allowing me to remember the person I was and continue to be...after so much", she added.
