The eldest of the Gurriel family is making a case to be the most valuable of the Astros.
Yuli Gurriel from Espíritu Santo, alias the "Pineapple," for his unmistakable hairstyle that he adopted since his arrival to the MLB with the Houston Astros, continues with his offensive streak and there is no rival pitcher that can stop him.
Last weekend marked a perfect game for the eldest of the Gurriel family as he reached base in all four times he visited the batter's box. He played as a first baseman and fifth batter, with two hits, one of them a home run, and two walks. In this way he adds his ninth game batting for a hit.
With that double, the 38th of the year, he added the 97th RBI and in the next game or perhaps in two more he could reach one hundred. Gurriel rose to fifth place in the American League in doubles, seventh in hits and is tied for fifth in RBIs.
