Cuban performer Yulaysi Miranda Ferrer, winner of the second season of the television program "Sonando en Cuba", celebrated on her social networks her advancement to the final of the talent competition "Sztárban Sztár Leszek", which took place in Hungary.
"First of all, Thanks to God. To my dear audience, both Hungarian and Cuban, may all the support you give me be converted into health, blessings, and prosperity in your lives", the young woman wrote on her Instagram.
Miranda Ferrer insisted that she felt very grateful for all the support she had received during her performances on that Hungarian show and said she had no words to describe it.
"It was the semifinal, the votes from the Hungarians made me the winner of the day, which means I have advanced to the final. Amen, amen and amen, gentlemen, next Sunday will be the final, I leave it in God's hands, but already with the support that you give me that greatest gift that God has given me", she added.
The Cuban presented several impersonations of international singers such as Gloria Gaynor and Rihanna in the semifinal. With her charisma and talent, the young woman has won over the Hungarian audience, so culturally distant from the Cuban one.
Two of her "teachers" on the island during the program "Sonando en Cuba", singers Haila María Mompié and Laritza Bacallao, left her encouraging messages at a time when the final stretch of the event is approaching.
"Let's goooooo with everything. We're almost WINNING, how proud I feel by God", wrote the so-called "Diva del Pueblo", while Bacallao encouraged her: "Give it your all Yula".
After her triumph on the program "Sonando en Cuba", the young singer accompanied Puerto Rican Olga Tañón during a tour and also won a Cubadisco award, the main one in the Cuban music industry.
A little over a year ago, Miranda Ferrer arrived in Hungary married to Hungarian violinist Gergő Krisztián Tóth. The singer met the musician, who is a member of The Orchestre Now, on a trip he made to Havana in 2016.
"I live every success of yours as my own, you don't know how I remember that day I called you and told you that you wouldn't go to the auditions of @sonandoencuba, see, you won and I was sure that would happen even though you weren't from my region, but against that great talent and all that musicality you hold in that tiny little body no one can, there's too much in there, you're the best my girl, I love you, let's go for it all because you can do this", were the words that Haila dedicated to the young Cuban singer.
