Willy Chirino announces concert with Leoni Torres: "two generations, one Cuba only"

The emblematic Cuban musician based in Miami, Willy Chirino, announced an upcoming concert together with popular singer Leoni Torres in Florida.

"On February 5, 2022 at the James L. Knight Center at 8 pm it's going to be a very special night for me, because I'm going to share the stage with one of the great talents of the new Cuban artists," Chirino wrote on his social media.

"I have great respect for Leoni Torres as an artist and as a person. So get ready because what's coming is: TWO GENERATIONS, ONE CUBA ONLY," added the author of the freedom anthem Our Day (It's Coming Soon).

Torres responded on Chirino's Facebook post: "Singing alongside you is a great honor for me. A legend of our Cuban music that deserves admiration and respect. See you on February 5 for the big show".

At the end of November, Chirino had announced the new collaboration with his colleague. Both premiered last June the song "For My Old Man" dedicated to parents.

"Interesting things are coming. Stay connected," wrote the more veteran of the singers. He also posted an image from May of this year, when the artists were at Chirino's house in Miami.

The popular artists had released on June 18 the song "For My Old Man", dedicated to Cuban parents, two days before Father's Day was celebrated on the island.

From the very beginning, Leoni Torres thanked Willy for the opportunity to sing alongside him despite the attacks he received. He said about Chirino that it was "a pleasure to meet you and for you to receive us in your home. My whole life I have been a great admirer of your music and today another dream comes true. Thank you for thinking of me for this beautiful musical gift for our audience".

Torres turned 44 on November 24 in Miami and in the company of his family in common with Yuliet Cruz, beloved Cuban actress. It seems that the musician will settle there, as he has already announced several concerts for February of next year and launched a wine business.
