Cuban actor William Levy has been trending these days since the new version of "Café con aroma de mujer" premiered on Netflix. The audience had a more than positive reaction to the telenovela almost immediately. In fact, throughout Latin America it has held the number 1 position among productions that have enjoyed the best reception, not to mention Spain, where it is also reaping great success.

On this occasion, the model-actor plays Sebastián Vallejo, a young man from an aristocratic coffee-producing family, who falls deeply in love with Gaviota (played by Carmen Villalobos), but not before both must overcome various obstacles to live their love.

Due to the excellent reception from the public, Levy reacted with a message through his Instagram thanking the fans. "I can only tell you millions of thanks for all the love, thank you for making Café con Aroma de Mujer the most-watched show on Netflix in Latin America and Spain. Thanks on behalf of the entire team, we appreciate it from the bottom of our hearts."

The popular Cuban artist, born on August 29, 1980 in the Havana neighborhood of Cojímar, is the oldest of three siblings and grew up with his mother, his stepfather, and his maternal grandfather. Shortly before turning fifteen, he emigrated to the United States.

Once there with a new life, the young man began studying acting in Miami, Los Angeles, and Mexico.

However, before venturing into the entertainment world, his dream was to become a famous major league baseball player, so he began to play baseball and due to his performance in that sport he obtained a scholarship to enter the University of Miami, which he later left when he began to take his first steps in modeling, his initial foray into the artistic field. From then on, there was no turning back and his popularity grew exponentially.

Currently, at 41 years old, the native of Cojímar has an extensive acting career. He has displayed his talent in soap operas such as "Acorralada," "Triunfo del amor," "La tempestad," and the list goes on extensively.

On the other hand, William Levy has also ventured into cinema with his work in "En brazos de un asesino," as well as "Resident Evil: The Final Chapter," a film that is certainly one of the most attention-grabbing in his career, as this production, which dates from 2017, was led by Milla Jovovich.

In his private life, the Cuban maintains a long relationship with fellow actress Elizabeth Gutiérrez, whom he met in 2002 during the reality show "Protagonistas de novela."

In 2006 they became first-time parents with the birth of Christopher Alexander, but his debut as a father was overshadowed by an alleged infidelity with Maite Perroni, former Rebelde member, with whom he starred in "Cuidado con el Ángel." Similar rumors, including breakups, have followed the couple who welcomed another daughter years later. Nevertheless, regardless of the comments, both committed to building a family and moving forward with their own careers. While they have had ups and downs, Levy has made it clear throughout their nearly two decades together that love has always won between him and Gutiérrez.

The Cuban-American actor will star in the series "Montecristo," a contemporary adaptation of Alejandro Dumas's classic set in Havana, Miami, and Madrid, which will be filmed this year produced by Secuoya Studios and Pantaya.
