William Levy announced that he will join the cast of the musical series 'Star', a television production in which he will share scenes with Queen Latifah and Benjamin Bratt.
"After five years of being absent from television and receiving your messages asking me when I was coming back, well here I let you know that I have decided to return again", the performer said on his official Instagram account.
"I love you and I always thank you for the affection you show me day by day. I hope you enjoy it", he added.
Levy also noted that he "could not be more grateful" to Lee Daniels, creator of 'Star', and to the audiovisual giant Fox for giving him "an excellent reason" to return to the small screen.
After making a name for himself in telenovelas such as 'Mi vida eres tú', 'Acorralada', 'Pasión', 'Cuidado con el ángel' and 'Sortilegio', among others, Levy took advantage in 2012 of his participation in the reality show 'Dancing with the Stars' to present himself to the English-speaking public.
That move helped him carve out a niche in small Hollywood productions such as 'Addicted' and 'Single Moms Club' (both from 2014), before participating in larger-scale projects such as 'Resident Evil: The Final Chapter' (2016) or 'Girls Trip' (2017).
'Star', which revolves around three young people trying to make their way in the music world, will premiere its third season in late September.
