Cuban volleyball player Marlon Yant received with great expectations in Italian League

The Cuban Marlon Yant Herrera apparently is destined for great endeavors and that was made evident today by the Italian press, with multiple praise for his innate talent for playing volleyball.

According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Yant, who signed this season with Lube Civitanova, is one of the six biggest prospects of this season in the Italian Volleyball League, the best in the world.

I still don't believe it (being at Lube). I watch the club's videos and it's fantastic, Marlon emphasized.

The newspaper welcomed him to the 'promised land' along with the other prospects Victor Cardoso (Brazil), Eric Loeppky (Canada), Adis Lagumdzija (Turkey), Tobias Krick (Germany) and Vlad Davyskiba (Belarus).

Yant, just 19 years old and 2.03 meters tall, arrives at the world champion club to be backup to his countrymen Osmany Juantorena and Yoandy Leal, two of the most brilliant players on the planet in recent years.

In his first season in Italy, Yant will have three exceptional mentors: Juantorena, Robertlandy Simón and Leal, the Gazzetta noted.

Yant arrives at the Italian volleyball Serie A coming from Chaumont-52 in France, according to Radio Habana Cuba.
