Cuban singer-songwriters Vicente Feliú and Pablo Milanés, who died in 2021 and 2022, respectively, will be remembered at the 28th edition of the Barnasants International Singer-Songwriter Festival this year in Barcelona, a gathering that will also pay tribute to Chilean singer-songwriter Víctor Jara on the 50th anniversary of his death.

The event, which runs from this month of January through next month of May, and which is once again dedicated to Cuba, will feature ten concerts dedicated to both troubadours of the Island. On our part, Irina González, Yadira Ferrer, Heidi Igualada, Marta Campos, Inti Santana, Leonardo García, Yaima Orozco, and Karel García will participate, who will present his latest work A flor de calle.

Additionally, participating for the Cubans will be artists from Argentina, Chile, Colombia, France, and Italy, along with dozens of Spanish performers.

In 2008, 2012, and 2015, Cuba was the host of this important festival, which in 2013 awarded poet and filmmaker Víctor Casaus, director of the Centro Cultural Pablo de la Torriente Brau, with the distinction in the Cultural Activism category, and in 2014, singer-songwriter Silvio Rodríguez, with the award for Artistic Trajectory.
